Bed bugs inspection Toronto bed bug dog - K-9 bed bug detection Toronto

Not sure if you have bed bugs? You need a bed bug inspection!

Sometimes it is quite obvious that you are suffering with a bed bug problem - ergo, you see the bed bugs and there is no question that you need a bed bug exterminator to get rid of the problem for you.

Other times it is not quite so obvious.

You may be waking up in the morning with bites but are unsure where they came from. Bed bug bites usually come in threes. You may mistake those bites for something else such as scabies, a rash or something else. You may see what appear to be blood spots on your bed sheets or little tiny black smears on your bed linens. If this is the case, you need a bed bug inspection.

Inspections for bed bugs can take a number of different forms. Visual bed bug inspections can be accomplished by an experienced bed bug exterminator. These types of inspections can be accurate and accomplished correctly with good results by a trained professional.

You may consider calling in a bed bug dog to perform a K-9 bed bug inspection. As of late, there have been more companies offering this type of bed bug detection. Of course, the accuracy of a bed bug dog inspection depends on the training of the dog but also the handler. If considering a bed bug dog inspection be aware of the possibility that an unscrupulous operator may (I say MAY) present you with a false positive if it is he that would be doing the actual extermination for you. Best to hire an independent company that only does bed bug dog inspections and not the extermination. Be particularly careful if the operator offers to do a 'free' inspection. In such a case it would be in his interest to present with a positive. Most operators are on the level, but as with any segment of any population, there will be those that are not. It is best to select a company that charges for the inspection alone, regardless of what the outcome of that inspection would be. Ensure that the  K-9 bed bug detection company is trained by the National Scent Detection Canine Association (NESDCA) and / or the North American Detection Dog Association (NADDA).

There are technological ways of inspecting as well. Some companies offer the use of bed bug inspection machines. These devices use a combination of CO2, heat and pheramones to attract any bed bugs that may be in the immediate vacinity of the machine itself.

When if comes to bed bug inspection there are options. Whichever method you choose to inspect for a potential bed bug problem, always go with a company that is licensed by the Ministry of the Environment of Ontario  when selecting an extermination company and ensure that they are accredited by the Better Business Bureau.

  1. What a fantastic service! Susan came in and did such a great job! What a lovely girl. She and her little friend inspected my house for bed bugs, we know that we probably had them (we had bites) but we could not find even one.

"Bandit", that's the cute little bed bug detective that Susan had with her, found where the bugs were hiding in no time flat. When I saw where they were hiding I couldn't believe it - just under the little plastic protector on the box spring!

Although it was unpleasant to find out that we had bed bugs having Susan and 'Bandit' come in was a good thing to do.

It was such a pleasure to meet both of them.

  2. We live in Western Ontario and had Heather from Sniff Pro come in for an inspection. Very impressed. She found some bed bugs in our box spring and couch.

    This was really impressive.
